Hi,
With permission, I am posting this message to invite members of this online community to participate in a new research project which seeks to explore how people affected by hearing loss use online support forums (such as this one). First of all - a brief introduction to who I am. My name is Neil Coulson and I am a Professor of Health Psychology based in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham [www.nottingham.ac.uk/medicine/people/neil.coulson] and I am working with Dr Melanie Ferguson, Consultant Clinical Scientist (Audiology) and Associate Professor at the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre [ http://www.hearing.nihr.ac.uk/about-us/staff/bio/Dr-melanie-ferguson-20 ]. Together we are interested in learning more about your experiences of online support forums.

We have created a short online survey in which we are hoping to learn more about how people use online forums (such as this one) and how it may help (or not) them cope with the challenges of hearing loss. There are no right or wrong answers and everyone's experience is valuable. If you are potentially interested then please click on the following link and this will take you to the 'Information page' for the study. It is not a long survey and the time
