The only explanation I can come up with is that it deems speech from a TV is noise.

Every hearing aid I've tried. Both expensive and cheap. They all seem to deem speech coming out of a TV as noise. I'm sitting there watching TV and can hear my wife talk load and clear but the TV speech does not get the increase. ???????
