no noise reduction

Every hearing aid I've tried. Both expensive and cheap. They all seem to deem speech coming out of a TV as noise. I'm sitting there watching TV and can hear my wife talk load and clear but the TV speech does not get the increase.
???????
 
The only explanation I can come up with is that it deems speech from a TV is noise.

That's right. TV sound is Electronic Sound which doesn't blend with natural sound (wife's voice) at same time. Normal human ears could alternate to hear between natural and ES (alternating about 10 times/sec?). However, your ears can't alternate with Hearing Aid.

You could concentrate to hear TV sound. Then you can't understand your wife's voice.
