Hi,

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but one of the Philips Hearlink 9040 hearing aids blinks orange 3 times, repeatedly, when placed in the charger. The other pair charges/acts fine. The manual suggests thats a system error but gives no more advice, because see an official. Does anyone know if there are ways to fix this?

Thanks so much

Clean the connectors to ensure the charging spot is clean. If the light does not turn solid after this in the charger, you will have to go to Costco.

Would I have to pay to have it fixed?

I am also not the original owner, i bought these second hand.

  • Yes, But factory repair usually does not repair. Instead they replace with a new pair of hearing aids. You cannot use factory repair. You would need a (Client/Audiologist/Factory) relationship.
  • Li-ion batteries can go to sleep if not used for a long period of time.
  • There are methods that can be used to wake them up. But that is the battery alone, not a battery already connected to hearing aid hearing aid circuitry.

There are ways to get your money back for non-working items depending on where you purchased.

Further Help;
