    Beltone VS. Phonak

Audiologist, You sound like someone who is losing to many patients to Costco and other establishments selling the same quality hearing aids for a lot less money than you are selling them for. For your information, I know one audiologist who works for Costco and I know of several others in my...

Oticon Alta, update after 6 weeks

I've got the older version of the Streamer with voice activation, but I rarely use it because half the time it starts with "say a word," I say the word and then it says did you say "----" which is not the word I said and this goes on until I pull the phone out and find who I want to call and...

Oticon Alta, update after 6 weeks

denied, The Streamer Pro has to be paired to your hearing aids by the audiologist, but you can pair any device that has Bluetooth capability to your Streamer yourself by simply putting it and the device into their pairing mode: the Streamer is put into the pairing mode by holding down the...

    Beltone VS. Phonak

paragon, I know several "fitters" at Costco who are exceptional at doing their job; one is an audiologist and the other a HIS. They both love working for Costco because all they have to do is show up and do their job, they don't have to worry about paying the rent and they have great benefits...

Good to hear. Do you have the Streamer Pro or the older Streamer. If it's the Pro maybe Oticon did something to fix the Apple pairing problem.

Oticon Alta, update after 6 weeks

Have you had problems keeping the Streamer paired with your Iphone? I have always had problems keeping my Streamer paired to anything made by Apple. I use the TV adapter in the same situations as you do: if there are people in the room and I'm trying to watch something I turn on the adapter and...

    Another new guy

Craig, Welcome aboard. As for getting hearing aids: get HA's that will give you the best hearing and don't worry about the vanity part since very few people will notice or care about you wearing hearing aids. The most important part of getting hearing aids that work for you is finding either...

Embrace Hearing reviews? Has anyone heard of them?

Jason, What is the restocking fee or is there no fee? I've heard of people with one of the mail order hearing aid companies having problems returning the aids and then getting socked with big restocking fees, so get it in writing from them before you start.

Embrace Hearing reviews? Has anyone heard of them?

Jason, I've heard of Embrace HA's but don't know anyone who has them. The one problem I see with them is it looks like you have to send the HA's back to them for adjustments or any problems you encounter and that can really become a pain. As a new hearing aid wearer you will probably...
