    New to hearing loss

Welcome to allhearing! I don't have experience with Siemens' CIC but it seems to be fitted for your loss range. I think most CIC's are good to accompany up to moderate loss (60dB tops). But it'll really depend on the frequencies you need to be aided with. You can try it out, they might have...

    Ric/rite?

How are you? **The random thread**

That's pretty interesting. I've talked to some farm folks in MD and PA, they've said that there's not much money to earn from horses other than selling horse hair to certain interested parties. I hear they are apparently money drainers. Whoa.

I noticed some farmers leave their cattle and horses out in the cold -- without a shed or barn for them...

    Hello

Depending on your employment status, you can check with the Department of Vocal Rehabilitation in your state. Not all states do this, but some fund deaf/hard of hearing on hearing aids, finding employment, and maybe even college courses.

    Asl?

I've learned ASL for 4 years or so. I took ASL1 that was taught by a hearing parent of a deaf child who was raised by ASL. The rest of the years are from meeting people and interpreters. If you really wanted to, you could learn ASL from just meeting deaf people often without having to pay a...

Cochlear Implant: Is it true that you can't swim or play football?

I've heard someone who had CI surgery said that you can go scuba diving only for a certain depth. Something about how the surgery removes part of the skull, so it leaves it vulnerable and you want to be safe about it.
