i am after a pair of behind the ear aids either the tube type of RIC, i might have mentioned I went to the Sam's clib hear aid center, 80 mles from home in Muncy PA, the audioligist there was very nice and spent nearly 2 hrs did the hearing test, and trying their line of aids and changing programms ect, nothing worked, so now i am going to try Costco, i called there and there is a 3 month waiting list for hearing test, business must be good, i will wait, but what puzzles me why there are not other businesses offering the same deals, i frown on businesses here in my area with prices that are scary, prices for a retired senior on a limited budget, ido have friends who are vets, thay get the best. i am not a vet, never passed the hearing test to enlist.

ps i was seeing some ads on the internet that seniors on medicare can get full coverage or nearly full coverage on hearing aids. has anyone been thru this offer

It's just business! Costco can offer a vast market for a manufacturer's widgets, and therefore negotiate lower prices in exchange for access to Costco's vast market.

It has been my experience that the additional benefits from Medicare Advantage Plans are mostly Crap. For example; the Dental coverage will send you to participating dentists who will make you wait for teeth cleaning services, until they run up the Bill with incessant Xrays and other procedures that you don't really need. In other words, you have to jump through many hoops before you can get your teeth cleaned. It's a hot mess!!
