Hello, on digital HA's volume control, can they be programmed so that the volume when turned all the way down there is NO sound coming in, not "some sound always even if it is a little".....

also, can the beeps be programmed out, the beeps that sound when turning the aid on and off.

if it matters, in question is Starkey ignite 20

thanks, Kevin

Kevin,

Most HA's have x number of up volume and X number of down volume settings, my Oticon have 4 up and 8 down. To get no sound coming in the audi usually set up a mute program for this purpose. The beeps on most aids can be turned off, but are usually put in the on position to enable you to get the HA in your ear before turning on. I hope this helps.

Yes

To answer your question, digital VCs CAN be programmed to where the "starting point" is 0db of gain. The hearing healthcare provider would just need to lower the VC range downward. Good luck!
