Hearing aid issue

Has anyone heard of this: when I put my hearing aid in my left ear, the ear stops up. My ENT and audiologist have never heard of this. I cannot clear it using the Valsalva method. I have taken Sudafed and an allergy nasal spray with no relief. Thanks for the responses.

I am not sure what you mean by "stops up" but if your ears feels "plugged" after putting the hearing aid and the feeling goes away after removing the aid, that's typically caused by the oclussion effect. Your AuD should be able to help you with this.

If the symptom does not go away after removing the aid: Talk to your doctor.
