ReBranded Hearing Aid Models
Now that you have a basic understanding of the hearing aid "platform" and its (hearing aid models, sub-models and feature levels), you're done with hearing aid models, right? Sorry, wrong. There are also rebranded hearing aid models. ReBranded hearing aid models are duplicate models that use a different name. Often, rebranded hearing aid models do not utilize the highest technology level, and to complicate matters, rebranded hearing aid models may also be code-locked!

There appear to be four sources for ReBranded hearing aid models;

• Costco; View the DIY school document titled ("Costco USA Hearing Aid Models-助听器型号") which has locked Costco hearing aid models marked in red. However, there are no recent (~2022) locked Costco hearing aids. Maybe Costco will no longer carry locked hearing aids?
• Government NHS organizations usually use code protection, without which hearing aids cannot be programmed.
• Medical insurance providers, such as EPIC Hearing Healthcare, TruHearing, Amplifon, NationsHearing, Code protection is available, without which the hearing aid cannot be programmed.
• New-anyname-franchises such as Audika, Lively, AGX, AccuQuest, Hidden Hearing, Specsavers ReBbranded hearing aids may use code protection to prevent non-franchise audiologists from adjusting or even identifying your rebranded hearing aids.

It may be possible to program a locked hearing aid with a password;

• Try asking your franchise audiologist for the code, sometimes they may provide it.
• Try asking for information about NHS codes on a hearing aid discussion forum.
