I have a pair of ReSound Savi 3's, which I was previously able to connect to my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 - They connected the first time I paired them, and I only had to go through the pairing process again after disconnecting BT for audiologist visits. I had an audiologist appointment about a month ago, where they had to calibrate for new earmolds. I've been unable to connect them to my Z Fold 6 ever since. I've tried un-pairing/forgetting the BT connection, uninstalling/re-installing the mobile app, clearing cache and data for the app, restarting the phone, turning the bluetooth off/on. I've un-paired the hearing aids from the phone through the SmartFit app as well.

What's happening: It will go through the pairing/connection process just fine for the first connection - I follow the steps, turn off the hearing aids (place them in the case), turn back on (remove from case), it asks me to pair, I click "OK", I get a success message, then it says "To finish pairing..." and makes me restart the hearing aids and try connecting again. This is where it fails 100% of the time - It will sit on the "Searching for Hearing Aids" screen for a long time, until I eventually get an error "Something went wrong" message, and it forces me to start from the beginning again.

I have tried everything, been at it for almost 3 hours already. Out of frustration, I grabbed my old S22 Ultra, installed the app, and it paired instantly, no errors. I didn't install any software updates on the old phone, it's been sitting in my desk drawer for several months, so I'm starting to think that a recent software update on my Z Fold might be responsible.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the connection to succeed? They make it intentionally difficult to revert the Android software to a previous version, and threaten to void your warranty in doing so, so I'm completely lost. Switching to iPhone is not going to happen, and I'd prefer to avoid having to start carrying two phones (or switch back to my old phone, the battery doesn't last half the day).

Submitted an error report to Samsung after reading on another forum that ReSound claims the issue was caused by a recent system update from Samsung. I'm assuming Samsung will come back and say it's either ReSound or Google who is actually at fault. I'll keep testing while working through the backlog of software, system, and security updates pending install on my old phone.
