Hello everybody,

my dad just got his first hearing aid.
Am i correct, that he needs the Signia ConnexxAir device and the ConnexxAir Software to be able to programm his device (Signia 7IX)?
Are there any alternatives for the device?
Could some one please give me a hint on where to get the software (via PN).

Thank you in advance and have a great day.

Which model Signia IX? Here's a clip from a DIY School Legacy Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (Choose Hardware-Programming Device for Signia);
  • Legend: NW = Noahlink Wireless/Caution: Noah, NOAHlink & Noahlink Wireless are 3 different things
  • Legend: HP = (Hi Pro or mini Pro) with standard cs44 cables and also maybe flexstrips or adapters
  • Legend: ConnexxAir ConnexxLink = themselves (ConnexxAir ConnexxLink)

  • 2023-Q3 RIC Pure C&G IX NW
  • 2023-Q3 RIC Pure C&G T IX NW
  • 2023-Q3 Click ITE Silk IX ConnexxAir
There is no such hearing aid programming software named "ConnexxAir Software"? You should read a DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (01 Free Hearing Aid Fitting Software) and scroll down to Connexx Signia, (and/or) read your PM/Private Message/Conversation for info on how to find Connexx 9.13.0/SiFit9.13.0.

Thank you pvc! It's a Silk Charge & Go 7IX.
Very handy instructions (pdfs in the cloud). Thanks for providing them for us newcomers.
And thank you for the PM.

Any idea what's the best way to get a ConnexxAir in Western Europe?
So far i was only able to find one in a shop in the UK for €285. (https://www.hearing-shop.com).
Initially feeling is Signia is a company like Apple. haha...Maybe they're all like that in the industry.

I don't know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ConnexxAir is old technology that uses a magnetic loop for data communication, as in this → LINK where you can just watch the movements taken to insure that the hearing aids are positioned inside the magnetic loop. AND DO NOT WALK AWAY from the USB/Dongle that is plugged into a USB port on your PC/Computer.

This is a scary/old/legacy hearing aid programming device, and it's surprising to me this hearing aid programming device is still being used

I have not followed this Signia model closely. But judging from the (WS Audiology-Sivantos/Signia-Siemens, Rexton, Widex) section of the DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (Big-5 Platforms/New Chips) I suspect that even though Silk is listed in the (recent/2023 Signia-IX) platform, the technology is more likely form the (2018 Signia X) platform.
