Long story short, I'm a College student with Bilateral SNHL from the start (as in, congenital) and had just went through an AuD visit after so long of not seeing one.

I'm currently trying out a trial set of a new pair of Phonak hearing aids, and being the technically minded person I am, I of course took an interest in what software my Audiologist was using to calibrate the Hearing Aids and adjust the frequency gains, for instance.

Obviously, as an end user I can't straight away ask my AuD for a copy of the software to try out DIYing for myself, but I did get the idea that there's a programmer acting as an interface: Noahlink Wireless (be it Gen 1 or Gen 2).

Here's the snag: Sure, obtaining a copy of Target will do wonders for sure, but I know I have a long way to go to know precisely what to adjust - I don't exactly recall which preset(s) they were mainly paying attention to, since that was essentially a first-time visit for me.

On top of this is the fact that this pair of HAs I currently have (It's the Audéo series) are currently in their trial period, so if I feel like trying out another brand of HAs in the next visit, I could easily choose to do so.

What attracts me the most if I were to order a Noahlink Wireless for myself is that eventually I'd know on a good basis what to adjust with the programming software in-house, regardless of what brand of HA I decide to stick with down the road.

Which is why I humbly request that, if any of you reach out with instructions on how to obtain Target, I'd certainly appreciate even if it's just a general description, of how I would acquire other brands' software since many of them are compatible with Noahlink.

I'll be sure to check out the DIY HA fitting pages to see how much I could gather about fine tuning (global or program-specific for example) beforehand. I know the DIY School documentation clarified that these programs aren't readily accessible, so I'll routinely check my PMs - maybe also forward this post to the DIY section, but I'm assuming introductions first are common practice - until then.

Thank you!
