I’m new to the hearing aid programming side and trying to learn as much as I can. I recently purchased Signia Pure Charge&Go BCT 7IX hearing aids and I’m interested in understanding the proper software, hardware, and general fitting process.
I’m 40 years old and noticed significant hearing loss about a year and a half ago. It seemed to come out of nowhere, with no history of being around loud noises. I had X-rays and an MRI done, but they did not find a clear cause. I was left with the option of exploratory surgery or wearing hearing aids, so I chose hearing aids.
I’m not an audiologist, so I’m here to learn, ask questions, and make sure I’m doing things the right way. I have an IT background, so I’m comfortable with software and setup, but I’m still learning the hearing aid side.
