Hi all - I bought some ebay Oticon Intent 1s for my father and his initial reaction to having them was “there was a hell of a difference” - my parents are unfortunately too tight to pay the thousands of pounds for a new pair. Ive tried loads to convince them to get a good pair and just pay the money but they just wont have it at all. My father is totally technophobe with no phone etc and doesnt like change too. Hes 80 and starting to slow down a touch and as they are so small could easily lose them too……anyway Ive tried and tried to get them to get a good pair and not a really cheap pair from the NHS (UK).
So the outcome was myself getting a pair off Ebay. Initially they were brilliant
But Ive been up their house today and on the right hearing aid - the button while it feels exactly like the left aid......................the button isnt doing anything at all. I cant switch the aid off for example. Its defiantely working, battery fully charged and Ive adjusted them through the genie app and yep they are working. Just that button seems to be doing nothing all of a suddent.
Is that the gamble you take on ebay essentially or is it a known fault or can you factory reset them or anything like that.
A seperate note - Im getting so confused by the genie 2 app - its totally overwhelmning me. talk about settings on top of settings.....its mad- so Im going to try and read the guide and re-programme the right aid as hes says he cant hear much in that one - even though I can hear it adjust fine when attemping to program it
Looking for advice or the main simple ways of programming them fairly easy really (i have the noahlink wireless 2). Yes just spotted the guide on here so will read that
