I have been recently fitted with Oticon engage BTE pp hearing aids that I have paired with my android phone. No matter how i try I cannot get calls when the phone rings. Is there a setting that is missing from my hearing aids - any help appreciated. Regards

Yes, it is possible to pair Oticon Engage hearing aids with an Android phone. Here are the steps to do so:
  1. Ensure your Android phone supports Bluetooth LE Audio or ASHA technology.
  2. Download and install the Oticon Companion app on your Android device.
  3. Place your hearing aids near your phone and ensure they are within 20 cm (7.9 in) of each other.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your Android device and open the Oticon Companion app.
  5. The app will search for your hearing aids and detect them automatically.
  6. Restart your hearing aids as needed.
  7. Follow the app's instructions to complete the pairing process.
If your Android device does not support ASHA, you may need to use accessories like the ConnectClip or Easy LE Adapter to enable audio streaming from your hearing aids. It is recommended to use the Oticon Companion app for a seamless pairing experience

Cleared the old setting in your phone. Switched off the phone and ON it again.

Good luck

Oticon engage BTE pp hearing aids are NHS rebranded and based on the Oticon OPN S (Velox) plattform.
The Engage BTE PP is in fact a Oticon OPN S BTE Plus Power.
The following is vaild for all Oticon OPN / OPN S: This hearing aids are MFi only for streaming, which means you can only stream audio via Apple iPhone and iPad.
OPN and OPN S not supporting ASHA protocol for streaming from compatible Android phones. So you can connect this hearing aids to Android phones only via BT-LE for connection with the Oticon Companion App and through the App you only have the ability to change programs and volume parameters but no audio streaming from Android phones.

See also the Oticon Compatibilty Guide for the OPN S BTE Plus Power hearing aids.

For streaming and hands-free communication via Android phones you you will need an accessory: Oticon Connect Clip !
