Phonak Lumity L90

hello Pvc
i tried that aid a month ago, it is not programmable, does not have 3 pots on the back like mine, only thing it has is 4 presets and all were terrible muffled sounds, no high frequency responses, i could not hear my wifes voices, it would work forsomeone with base tone losses, i did return it, needed more power too.

curious, by the looks of my audiogram, would bothe aids be close to interchanege

chet
ps i was looking for signia phone number, soi canspeak to a technician to hep make a choice on a new aid , i would like to send my audiogram, possbly can help me get up and going

Interchange? I am unsure what that means?

All hearing aid manufacturers provide technical help "ONLY" to their clients (professional Audiologists with an Open account) and "NEVER" provide help to the end-user/hearing aid wearers.

I can usually get details about a specific hearing aid model from within the hearing aid fitting software. However, since this (Legacy/obsolete) model never used any fitting software in the first place, I cannot find any technical details.

Well, that's a clue. Look for old obsolete Siemens BTEs with 3 pots on the back. Though, I don't know if any others exist?

sir
what i mean is can i use the aids after programmed according to the audiogram, in either ear, i like the tube over the RIC type

did you ever hear of the Signia Motion X aids thinking o fthem

There is no such thing as a left hearing aid or a right hearing aid. They are all the very same device. That is, until they are programmed together as a pair and designated as right, or left.

Show me your example of Signia Motion X BTEs.

i know there is no such thing as left and right BTE, what i was saying is with my audiogram , is the left and right close after they are programmed

oic; You want to know if a hearing aid programmed for your left ear will work for your right ear and vice-versa.

Well, your hearing loss is somewhat similar for both ears. But only in the low frequencies. After 1.5K Hz your (right/left) loss is different.
Would that bother you and how much? I don't know. I'm not a professional. Look at the yellow speech banana and the frequencies where you will hear letters of the alphabet. That's where I think you would have problems.

There is no good answer (or maybe common answer) for your question. I am not comfortable answering questions like this.

Have you read any of the DIY School PDF files? Suggested reading;

I don't know which hearing aid fitting software program (if any) is required for the BTE labelled as (Motion P 1px)?
And, I don't know what is required for connecting the hearing aids to the fitting Software (Hi Pro and Cables) or ConnexxAir?

Also; I don't know of a source for the technical documents for these old Siemens/Signia hearing aids??
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had an appointment today, 75 mile ride, i get there met with the Audioligist had a few min discussion, ho told me about the hearing test, was quite elaborate compared to the one i had on monday of last week, he started by looking in my ears and did a compression test ect, then on with the test, much more in depth as the other test, after the test he put on a pr of BTE aids with the RIC, he tried 2 different sets of recievers . results were dissapointing, he even tried another brand or model, he says loss is considered profound, after all the testing and letting me talk to my wife and walk around, he was surprised that i honestly said i her better with my old 8yr old siemens BTE, he did say i should talk to a dr and see an ENT specialist, i might need to go with a Cochlear type hearing device. before i get into that, i did say to about these bte aids with so called SP (super power) he did say might be worth a try, i am not 100% sure if i heard from the other audioligist last week he saying that the tube going to the ear vs the RIC, the tube can be more powerful. so now i look for new BTE with power, he was surprised that my single aid had better sound to me over the prescription aids, he spent over 2 hrs with me asking me question and retuning the aids ect,, great guy, made me feel comfortable the whole time there, started of saying i am not on commision, on salary, after 2 hrs he said im sorry we could not help you. especially that you hearbetter with he single aid

Whew!
he put on a pr of BTE aids with the RIC
That speaker in your ear makes them RICs and not BTEs (which have the speaker inside the hearing aid).
he was surprised that my single aid had better sound to me over the prescription aids
I'm guessing that your old BTE with one-sided hearing had the best results when worn on your right ear? Is that correct?
other audioligist last week he saying that the tube going to the ear vs the RIC, the tube can be more powerful. so now i look for new BTE with power
I think you should read a DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (How Hearing Aid Gain Fits Your Loss) so that you can understand how hearing aids (especially Power BTEs) use compression.
