AudiogramDirect, can someone explain the difference between these three: feedback & real ear test., temporary occlude, and insert earphone?

In-situ audiometry, such as Phonak AudiogramDirect, allows measuring hearing thresholds directly through your hearing aids. Are you asking specifically about Phonak, or perhaps asking about In-situ audiometry in general.

When you say (feedback & real ear test, temporary occlude, and insert earphone), These can have different meaning. For example (real ear test); are you referring to REM/→ Real Ear Measurement?

Sorry, I'm a little lost about what you are asking. Maybe provide more context?

The typical hearing tests that I have had (and which I think is best practice) was in a soundproof booth wearing headphones.

Using → insert earphones is about limiting background noise and I have not been to a clinic that uses insert earphones?

Here's a clip from a DIY School Hearing Aids PDF file named (01 What to Expect for your First Fit) which talks about how your hearing loss is measured and then entered into your hearing aids via the fitting software;

Are we getting close to answering your question? I dunno. I'm still a little lost??

PVC, thanks a lot for your comments. The clip from DIY gave me more knowledge. I apologize; my question was some time ago. I cannot go speeding as I would like; many other things keep me busy.

But I am getting into this, little by little. The DIY school here has given me a lot to get comfortable with Target Phonak, which I am a fan of.

The original question was about the audiometric in Target Phonak; as you mentioned, it is AudiogramDitect.

When I am going to make an AudiogramDitect, Target has these options: 1. feedback & real ear test., REM, that is correct PVC. I do not have the tools to go on. 2. temporary occlude: I have been using an earmold with no vent, connected to Target using a Noahlink Wireless. And 3, insert earphones, which I think can be something like headphones; I never could make my laptop Windows 11, work with Target to tones in the audiogramDirect using a headphone connected, wire or wireless to the PC.

I am following the forum as well.

When using AudiogramDirect in Phonak Target the beeps are in your hearing aids. You don't need additional headphones!
Select the Audiogram Tab and follow instructions.

AudiogramDirect is an in-situ hearing test within Phonak Target. You can test patients’ hearing directly through their hearing aids. AudiogramDirect does not replace diagnostic audiological assessments.
To change the default AC and UCL measurement behavior, go to [Setup] > [Fitting session] > [AudiogramDirect].
Click [AudiogramDirect] > [Start] to test air conduction (AC) hearing thresholds and uncomfortable loudness levels (UCLs) using the connected hearing aids. UCL measurements are optional and they are disabled during a Phonak Remote Support session.
