sennheiser fitting software

Demant makes both the Oticon and Phillips hearing aids. Rebranded Oticon. Premium tech but not current gen.

Philips 9050 hearing aids are current technology. They even have the new AI (Artificial Intelligence chip/hardware) for noise reduction in the presence of speech!

They do not offer duplicate previous generation Oticon products.

Instead, Philips has a "Sister Company" relationship to Oticon. As a Sister Company, they develop their own software solutions using the same hardware, as opposed to making previous generation, or defeatured Oticon models.

Oh, this → Sister Company Link helps define how Jabra fits into Costco hearing aid names. It says;
ReSound, a Danish company, also backs up its hearing aids with decades of research and development. Founded in 1943 in Denmark, ReSound now operates under the parent company GN and alongside sister company Jabra which focuses on noise cancelling and high-performance headsets and headphones. ReSound and Jabra share research, meaning that audio performance breakthroughs can be shared, evolving the future of hearing technology.

Sorry, But Phillips hearing aids are actually Phillips hearing aids!
The Philips 9050 (Costco) and the Oticon Intent use the same hardware. The firmware is different but how much is different is subject to speculation and the fitting software looks completely different.
Someone on another forum made a detailed comparison of the Sennheiser Sonite R, the Costco KS10 and the Phonak Lumity 90 and it showed that the Sennheiser had only minor difference in function between the KS10 and with the Phonak Lumity 90. After Phonak was kicked out of Costco due to the charger problems with the KS10, I believe Sonova was looking to get back into Costco due to the hit on earnings that it took with the divorce. Costco apparently agreed to a trial in a few stores and Sonova choose to re-enter with the KS10/Lumity90 look alike using the Sennheiser label. (Sennheiser and Phonak are owned by Sonova.) Rumor has it that the Sennheiser Sonite R will be in the remainder of Costco's stores in the next few weeks. The next question is when the Sennheiser will be upgraded to be like the Phonak Infinio 90 model (probably without the Spheric function.)

Here's a link to Costco Brian's video on that subject → (KS 10) What REALLY Happened to Costco's Best Selling AID.

Though, I wouldn't completely dismiss the other elephant in the room. That is, the → "new platform" trick between Phonak's V-Venture platform and B-Belong platform which effectively caused (Costco's new Brio3 hearing aid model) to be exactly the same as (Costco's older Brio 2 hearing aid model). I imagine that didn't go over too well. But it is understandable why existing relationships may cause some ppl to be reluctant to discuss that → "new platform" trick.

Pfft; Well the Brio3 did have a newly styled case. So there's that. And a firmware change for Sound Recover 2 in place of Sound Recover.

the fitting software looks completely different
Yep, the fitting software GUI/Graphical User Interface is like Night & Day.

The Big-5 manufacturers (with the current exception of Signia?) have new (AI/Artificial Intelligence technology) to clean-up the noise part of Speech-In-Noise. I am guessing this new technology (which has worked very-well for me/See this → Link) will be limited to premium offerings for a while, and not be made available to Costco in the near future.

Costco now has the Jabra Enhance Pro 30, which is the same as the ReSound Vivia (AI-enabled).

OH!! Thanks for that. I'm falling a little behind and don't have the Jabra Enhance Pro 30 on my Costco List yet. I still have the;
  • (Jabra Enhance Pro 20 / GN ReSound Nexia, ReSound Nexia Platform) :eek:
Fixed it (Costco USA Hearing Aid Models)!
